so…why is this here?

well, this site was born out of a desire to share one particular trip – a Route 66 journey that Kristen and I have both had on our bucket lists forever. This year (2019) marks our 30th anniversary (yep, she’s stuck with me…) and as our gift/trip we decided to do the classic road trip! May of 2019, we launched on a journey from Chicago to L.A. along the historic Route 66, following the original route as much as we could, and stopping along the way to soak in the Americana…

This site chronicled that journey, and then after that, is evolving into a travel log of other trips to come – we love to travel – and maybe include updates on other fun stuff – mainly we love to go to concerts, football games (Go Blue), football games (#ATLUTD), and hang by the firepit…so who knows what may show up!
